Who we are
This website is operated by Next HVAC ("we", "us", "our"), an HVAC company located at 1031 Bannister Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit this website, send us a request or otherwise contact us, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using this website you acknowledge this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you send a request through our form, call, text or email us, you may share:
- contact details: your name, phone number and email address;
- your service address and the service you need;
- details about your HVAC system, the problem you are having and anything else you choose to tell us.
With a form request we also record the date and time it was sent, the web page it was sent from, and that you checked the box agreeing to this policy, our Terms & Conditions and to be contacted about your request.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, we and our service providers receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you and approximate location derived from your IP address. This comes from our hosting provider's standard logs and from Google Analytics, described below.
We do not collect payment card details on this website, and we do not ask for sensitive information such as Social Security numbers. Please do not send it through the form.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed, how visitors found us, and how many requests and phone calls start on the site. Google Analytics uses cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) and similar technologies that store a random identifier in your browser. The information is collected and stored by Google and used under its policies; you can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- We use analytics only to measure and improve our website and service.
- We have turned off Google signals and advertising personalization, and we do not use advertising, retargeting or social media tracking cookies.
- Analytics data is kept for a limited period of up to 14 months and then deleted.
Ways to opt out of analytics:
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we do not load Google Analytics at all.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.
- You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
When you view the service area map, map tiles are loaded from OpenFreeMap servers, which receive your IP address to deliver them. The site itself does not set any other cookies.

Calls, text messages and emails
When you send us a request, you agree that we may contact you by phone, text message or email about that request, your appointment and the service we provide. We do not send you marketing messages unless you separately agree to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
- To stop text messages, reply STOP. For help, reply HELP or call us. Message and data rates may apply.

- We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising. We share it only:
- with service providers that help us run our business and may use it only to provide their services to us, such as website hosting (Netlify), email and file storage for requests (Google Workspace: Gmail and Google Sheets), website analytics (Google Analytics), map tiles (OpenFreeMap), and tools we use for scheduling, invoicing and payments;
- with equipment manufacturers or distributors when needed to register or process a warranty for your equipment;
- when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our team or others;
- with a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized, subject to this policy.
Third-party links
Our website links to other sites, such as Google Reviews, Google Maps, Facebook and Instagram. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them, and we are not responsible for their practices.
How long we keep information
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above: to provide service, keep service and warranty records, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Requests that do not lead to service are deleted when we no longer need them. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect your information, such as encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access limited to our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by North Carolina law and other applicable law.
Your privacy rights
Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, give you a copy of it, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Residents of some states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and Oregon, have these rights under state privacy laws, along with the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling. We do not do any of these, so there is nothing to opt out of; we honor Global Privacy Control signals as described above.

We may keep information we are required to keep by law, such as invoices and warranty records.
California residents
In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of information described above (identifiers and contact details, information about your service request, and internet activity on this site) from you and your browser, for the purposes described above, and shared them only with the service providers listed above. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes (California Civil Code § 1798.83).
Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
